Description:

The rifle features a globe front sight and the elevation and windage adjustable "Greener's Patent Orthoptic" peep sight design patented by Harry Green on May 8, 1902, (marked "PAT No 10555" on the right and "W.W. GREENER/BIRMINGHAM" on the left). The military style notch and ladder rear sight from the barrel is absent. The barrel has : W.W. GREENER MAKER BIRMINGHAM," "AMMUNITION/.22," the serial number, and Birmingham proofs. The frame has "W.W. GREENER MAKER. BIRMINGHAM." on the left and "QUEENS CUP WINNER" in an engraved ribbon and an image of the Queen's Cup on the right. It has a military style forend with two barrel bands and a straight wrist stock with textured steel buttplate. This rifle was advertised as "W.W. Green's 'Queen's Cup Winner' Rifle. It was with a rifle of this type that Mr. A. G. Banks won the Queen's Cup - The Blue Riband of the Miniature Rifle World." R.G. Banks of Lancashire won the Queen's Cup in 1907 with a score of 355 out of 400. Greener built these rifles up using MkII Martini-Henry military actions dating from the 1880s.

Rating Definition:

Good as refinished with 50% blue remaining, white highlighting in the markings, and generally mild overall wear. The wood is very good has some light scratches and dings. Mechanically excellent.
