This 1941 dated rifle was originally manufactured by the Mauser factory under a commercial contract for the country of Portugal, designated the m/937B, but due to demand was diverted to the German Army for use in the early stages of World War II. The top of the receiver is marked with an "eagle/135" acceptance proof above the large Portuguese Crest and "1941" date. The receiver side wall is marked "MAUSER-WERKE A.G. OBERNDORF A.N." The left rear side of the barrel and receiver have the large German eagle firing proof. This model features the early milled barrel bands, trigger guard and floorplate. A large Portuguese crest over "1941" is stamped on the left of the stock behind the bolt takedown hole. "(eagle)/WaA135" Waffenamt proofs stamped in the stock behind the trigger guard, on the right of the buttstock and bottom of the buttstock. It is complete with an original cleaning rod, and front sight hood. The rifle has all matching visible serial numbers including the receiver, bolt assembly, barrel bands, rear sight, floorplate, trigger housing and stock.

Excellent, retains 98% plus attractive original commercial style blue finish with a few light handling marks. Stock is also excellent with defined edges, some light handling marks, and crisp stampings. Mechanically excellent.
