Unmarked on top of the chamber and on top of the front toggle link, this "sneak" Luger has a set of "crown/N" proofs on the barrel, receiver and breechblock, and "eagle/H" and "eagle/WaA66" on the right side of the chamber, suggesting a pistol reworked to police standards by Mauser/DWM. Fixed sights, with a functional sear safety fitted to the receiver and the remnants of a disabled magazine well safety on the left side of the frame. Straw colored small parts, with niter blue pins and springs, checkered grips, and a nickel finished magazine. A struck-out marking, possibly "PBg.810" is present on the front strap, which would mark it as the property of the Prussian police school at Brandenburg. The right grip panel is numbered "55", otherwise visible numbers are matching, including both of the magazines, which are marked "1" and "2" on the bases, in the police style. A black leather police holster is included, with "FRANZ COBAU/BERLIN/1934" on the back and an unmarked takedown tool.

Very fine as arsenal/factory reworked, with 85% of the blue finish, showing areas of brown and gray patina, bright edge wear, and mild handling marks and spotting. 50% of the original straw finish is present, with a similar ratio of niter blue. The grips are fine, with some dents and flat spots on the otherwise crisp checkering. The holster has a replacement belt loop, and is otherwise good. Mechanically excellent.
