Manufactured in January of 1942. Blade front and Winchester locking bar rear sight equipped with windage knob and "BATTLE RANGE" elevation drum. Fitted with a Winchester barrel, Winchester "D28287-1W.R.A." bolt, "C46025W.R.A." trigger guard, "D28290W.R.A." trigger housing, "C-46008-1W.R.A." hammer, unaltered "D35382W.R.A." operating rod and "C46015-4-W.R.A." safety. All other components are Winchester, including a rare follower arm rod. Early and scarce unaltered World War II smooth pistol grip stock made for no trap buttplate, a circled "P" proof behind the trigger guard, boxed "WRA/W.B." cartouche stamped on the left wrist and a checkered steel “no trap” buttplate without compartment.

Very fine as restored to World War II configuration, retains 95% arsenal refurbished combination dark blue/parkerized finish on the receiver, operating rod, bolt and trigger housing assembly with a few patches of scattered light pitting visible underneath the finish, 75% original parkerized finish on the barrel, and 98% original Du-Lite blue finish on the gas cylinder. The early “no trap” stock is very fine as re-oiled, with some areas of light oil staining at the edges, some scattered light dents, and clear stampings. Mechanically excellent.
