Description:

This is an original configuration World War II M1 Carbine manufactured by Standard Products. "SN" marked blade front sight and "S" marked two-leaf rear sight, with a correct Underwood "8-43" dated barrel, Type I barrel band, "5S" blue finished flat top bolt, "S" operating rod, "S" milled trigger housing, "SW" hammer, unmarked push button safety and "SW" magazine catch. Smooth high wood stock with two-rivet "S-HB" marked handguard, "S-HB" and a flaming Ordnance bomb stamped in the sling inlet, oval oiler cut, and a crossed Ordnance cannons cartouche stamped on right of the stock. Multiple "kill notches" carved on the bottom of the buttstock. Includes a tan canvas sling and oiler.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, retains 85% original parkerized finish with some light cycling wear and areas turned to a smooth brown patina. 98% original blue finish remains on the magazine. Stock is fine with scattered scratches and handling marks, "kill notches" carved in the bottom of the buttstock, and a defined cartouche. Mechanically excellent.
