The included factory letter lists this revolver as having a 5 1/2 inch barrel chambered in .45 caliber with blue finish and grips not listed when shipped to International Merchandise Company in Detroit, Michigan, on July 10, 1957. Fitted with blade front and notch rear sights. Matching serial numbers are found on the frame, triggerguard, and backstrap. The front cylinder face, frame, and loading gate have the assembly number "540.". Includes the original Colt black box.

Exceptionally fine, retaining 97% original blue finish with some muzzle wear, surface rust visible on the gripstraps, spotting on the top strap, and an extremely faint partial cylinder drag line. The period replacement grips have a few stress lines at the bottom and an attractive coloration. Box is fine.
