Blued steel barrels with a beaded blade front and fixed rear sights on the matted solid rib, "ANCIENNE Mon H. MAHILLON A BRUXELLES" and "Ft D'ARMES DE S. M. LE ROI" on the right and left respectively, light engraving at the breech, and chambers with ejectors. The casehardened boxlock action displays scrollwork which extends to the toplever, tangs, and triggerguard. The rifle features bushed firing pins, double triggers, and tang mounted manual safety with gold inlaid "S". Nicely figured, multi-point checkered splinter forend with engraved fittings, including the Anson button release, and pistol grip stock with shadowline cheekpiece and brown rubber Pachmayr recoil pad. Included is a leather cornered takedown case and a pair of snap caps. Length of pull 14 1/2 inches. Weight 7 lbs. 3 oz.

Very fine, retaining 99% original blue finish, 25% original case colors with the balance an attractive grey, light handling evidence, a tiny chip off the rear of the upper tang, and overall sharp checkering on the wood. The case is excellent. Mechanically excellent.
