This example features beautiful factory floral scroll engraving on the rear portion on the barrel, the sides of the loading lever, the frame, the trigger guard bow and the top of the back strap. There is a gold inlaid band at the muzzle. With a Colt Custom Shop walnut case lined in wine colored velvet. In the following two lots there are two other factory engraved second generation Colt percussion revolvers, a Walker and Model 1862 Police, with matching serial number 003. All three revolvers were likely ordered by Colt Industries Group Vice President Guy C. Shafer.

Near new with only minor handling/storage wear and some tarnishing of the silver. The case is excellent with some scattered minor scratches and dings.
