This Remington Model 1917 rifle features a smooth high grade walnut presentation style pistol grip stock with "E" marked at the nose, finger grooves, and a smooth trapdoor buttplate. It is known that rifles with interesting serial numbers were occasionally set aside at the factory and finished for presentation purposes, with the intended recipient of this rifle, serial number 499988, unknown at the time of writing. "R/(flaming bomb)/8-18" marked barrel with blade front and adjustable ladder and peep rear sights, standard receiver ring markings with a Canadian broad arrow military marking on the right front and rear surface of the receiver, double eagle head proofs on top of the left receiver rail, and a single flaming bomb proof on the left. Flaming bomb, "J" and "E" markings on the bolt. Includes a Remington Pattern 1913 bayonet dated "12 15" and an olive drab green plastic scabbard.

Very fine, retains 98% arsenal refurbished blue finish with a few spots of light freckling, and 85% parkerized finish on the bolt. Stock is also very fine as professionally arsenal refurbished in a presentation style, with some light handling marks, a few mild scratches on the left of the handguard and left of the buttstock, and attractive grain. Mechanically excellent. Included bayonet and scabbard are both very fine.
