Manufactured in 1915, the included factory letter confirms the current configuration and states that the pistol was shipped to Simmons Hardware Co. in St. Louis on 12 August 1915. The left side of the slide has the standard two-line, two-block patent dates and address, caliber marking on the right, and Government Model marking over the serial number on the right of the frame. The barrel is marked "P" with a polished chamber hood. Fitted with non-factory, period installed fixed blade front and notch rear sights, checkered diamond pattern grips, and a two-tone magazine.

Fine, retains 70% of the original blue finish with the balance having thinned to a smooth grey patina, primarily on the grip straps and edges. The grips are excellent with a few scattered light handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
