Manufactured in 1925, the top of the slide has the standard two-line address, patent, and caliber marking. The left of the frame is marked "SAVAGE 1917 MODEL". The included factory letter lists that the pistol was accepted from the factory on 13 October 1925 and shipped on 15 July 1926 to E.K. Tryon Company, a large distributor in Philadelphia. It has standard features and is fitted with a pair of checkered hard rubber grips with Savage logos at the tops. Excellent, retains 95% plus of the original blue finish with a few scattered extremely small patches of dark surface pitting on top of the slide and some very light edge wear. The grips are excellent with a few scattered light handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The box is fine with some mild wear and a few tears.
