The casehardened hammer back action displays scrollwork engraving surrounding "H. SCHERPING" and "HANOVER" banners on the left and right of the action respectively. The gun features rebounding hammers, locking bars, double triggers (front is a single set), and tang mounted barrel selector. Lightly figured, multi-point checkered forend with engraved fittings and pistol grip stock with cheekpiece and steel buttplate. Length of pull 14 1/2 inches. Weight 7 lbs. 5 oz.

Very fine, retaining 75% original blue finish 50% case colors, scattered areas of light oxidation, mild handling evidence, and mostly crisp checkering with some worn sots. Mechanically excellent.
