Manufactured as a semi-automatic, closed bolt version of the RPD light machine with a combination of new manufacture and Polish surplus parts. The RPD was designed by the Soviet Union as their infantry squad automatic weapon from 1948 until its replacement with the RPK in 1960. The role of the RPD laid the groundwork for squad automatic weapons into the present day. Features an adjustable post front sight with wing protectors, adjustable notch rear sight, Wasatch Firepower flash hider, wooden furniture, a polish "(11)/1958" dated dust cover. The left side of the receiver is marked with the Wise Lite Arms address. Included with the rifle are three extra ammunition drums with carriers and belts, as well as a green canvas sling and thread protector.

Very fine, retaining 95% original blue and phosphate finishes with some minor handling marks, a couple spots of minor surface oxidation. Wood is very fine with dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
