Description:

Manufactured in the 1880s with total production estimated at only a few thousand. The revolver has the added rarity of featuring a factory floral and scroll engraving that incorporates an exceptionally executed paddle-wheel steamboat scene on the side plate. The floral engraving is featured on the barrel, frame sides, and cylinder. The barrel rib has the two-line address/patent dates marking, the frame is stamped "38 CAL" on the left side, and the revolver wears a set of pearl grips.

Rating Definition:

Exceptionally fine, retaining 85% plus original nickel plating with some high edge wear and the back strap mostly a smooth gray patina. The engraving is crisp. Patterns of original case colors remain on the trigger guard. The grips are very fine with a couple tiny chips, slightly loose right panel, and highly attractive fiery colors. Mechanically excellent.
