What is a +1 or +2?
You may have noticed these when submitting a sealed bid. A “plus 1” or “plus 2” is also used to help break ties. For example, say your bid is $500 and so is someone else’s. By placing a “+1” on the bid, you’re saying that we can place one extra bid to help you win the item, in this case $550. A “+2” gives us permission to place 2 extra bids. It’s a helpful way to stay within a budget, but still win items if you’re close.
