Exceptional Smith & Wesson Model
of 1950 Target Pre-Model 26 Double
Action Revolver in Rare .45 Colt - Serial no. S99993, 45 LC cal., 6
1/2 inch solid rib bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. The included Smith &
Wesson factory letter confirms the current 6 1/2 inch barrel length,
blue finish, checkered walnut grips, and most importantly, the .45 Colt chambering, when it was delivered to Camfour Inc. of Springfield, MA, on June 17, 1954. As one of only 200 of this model produced in .45 Colt, the right side
of the barrel is properly roll marked and the frame has the standard four-line trademark with the S&W logo on the sideplate. This revolver is from the collection of world famous American country singer and song writer Hank Williams Jr. and includes a certificate of authenticity confirming his ownership as well as the aforementioned
factory letter which is address to him.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue finish, limited handling evidence, light cylinder
drag line, and sharp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent.

Outstanding Smith & Wesson Non-Registered .357 Magnum Double Action
Revolver - Serial no. 60306, 357 magnum cal., 6 1/2 inch solid rib bbl., blue finish,
walnut grips. The non-registered .357 magnum revolvers are much more rare than
their Registered Magnum model counterparts with only about 1,400 manufactured compared
about 5,400 Registered Magnums. This 6 1/2 inch barreled example features a Patridge blade front
sight, adjustable square notch rear sight, magnum grips that are numbered to a different gun, and matching serial numbers on the butt, cylinder and ejector shroud. Confirmed by the S&W Historian’s
Office as being originally shipped with a 6 1/2 inch barrel to H&D Folsom Arms Co. in New York City on December 19, 1939. This revolver is from the collection of world famous American country singer and song writer Hank Williams Jr. and includes a certificate of authenticity confirming his ownership.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 97% plus original blue finish showing mild muzzle wear, some minor handling marks, slight very light spotting and a cylinder drag line. Nearly all original case colors remain on the hammer and trigger. The grips are fine with some minor handling marks and crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent.
