Cased Hank Williams Jr. Inscribed Smith & Wesson Performance
Center Model 29-5 Double Action
Revolver with Box and Roy Jinks Letter - Serial no. RHW0001, 44 Magnum cal., 6 1/2 inch
solid rib bbl., blue finish, original grips. Per the included December 21, 1990 letter from Smith & Wesson Factory Historian Roy Jinks, addressed to country music icon Hank William Jr., this revolver is the “finest Smith & Wesson could assemble and is first of its kind produced by the S&W Performance Center”, using a then-current production frame and
specially selected cylinder with an original 1958 production new-old stock barrel that
was custom lead-lapped for this special project revolver. The letter also states that the action was tuned by John French, the engraving and case were done by Paul Piquette, and the grips were made by K. Dennis Holland. The sideplate is engraved “HANK” with masterfully applied floral scroll accents above and below. This revolver was ordered by Williams’ wife Mary Jane for Christmas 1990 and bears the special serial number “RHW001” (birth name Randall Hank Williams). Along with the letter comes a certificate of authenticity confirming Williams’ ownership, original factory box, and the aforementioned S&W hardwood display case.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original S&W special high bright blue finish, limited handling evidence, and faint cylinder drag lines. The case is very fine with some lid separation and minor storage marks. Mechanically excellent.

Factory Engraved Smith & Wesson Model 24-3 Double Action Revolver with Box and Factory Letter Presented to Hank Williams Jr. - Serial no. ABZ0164, 44 S&W special cal., 6 1/2 inch solid rib bbl., blue finish, Goncalo Alves grips. The included factory letter from S&W historian Roy Jinks confirms the Class A engraving,
blue finish, barrel length, and Goncalo Alves target stocks when it was shipped from the factory on December 13, 1983 through the Smith & Wesson
Marketing Department. Mr. Jinks also states that the gun was presented to the recipient of the letter, world famous country singer and song writer Hank Williams Jr., for his special support of Smith & Wesson. Includes a certificate of authenticity confirming Williams’ ownership, original box with birthday and Christmas wishes from S&W Historian Roy
Jinks on the lid, and the aforementioned factory letter addressed to Williams.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original blue finish, faint cylinder drag lines, and limited handling evidence. The box is also excellent. Mechanically excellent. Provenance: The Hank Williams Jr.’s Collection.

J.W. Thompson Signed Engraved Smith & Wesson Model 681 Double
Action Revolver with Box - Serial no. ADE2270, 357 magnum cal., 4 inch
round bbl., stainless finish, walnut grips. This revolver features blade front and
top strap notch rear sights, a smooth trigger, checkered hammer, walnut S&W
medallion grips, and nearly 80% coverage floral scroll engraving executed by
J.W. Thompson. Thompson’s signature can be found on the right of the grip
frame under the grips. Due to a factory error, the frame of this revolver is stamped as a Model 68-1 with the box listing it as the proper Model 681. The barrel is correctly marked for .357 Magnum ammunition. Includes the original box.
CONDITION: Excellent overall with limited handling marks, a light cylinder drag line, crisp engraving, and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent. Box is very good with some storage and handling marks.
