Smith & Wesson Model 1950 Target Pre-Model 24 Double Action Revolver with Box - Serial no. S118232, 44 S&W special cal.,
4 inch solid rib bbl., optional
bright blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured
in 1954/55. Standard markings and features including
matching serial number on the barrel, cylinder, and butt. This revolver is from the collection of world famous American country singer and song writer Hank Williams Jr. and includes a certificate of authenticity confirming
his ownership. Included as well is a 1985 dated letter to Hank Williams Jr. from a retired Springfield, Massachusetts police captain who was representing the widow of the original purchaser, a Springfield resident himself, offering a number of S&W revolvers that were still in new-old stock condition in their original boxes, originally purchased 30 years earlier in 1955 and had never left Springfield. With this letter is an inventory list with descriptions and serial numbers of the guns being offered. Offered in this sale is a second S&W Model of 1950 Target Revolver, no. S141858, that was also acquired by Hank Williams Jr. at the same time. All matching numbers and complete in the original gray box with full tool kit, including knurled screwdriver.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% original bright blue finish, minor handling evidence, light cylinder drag line, and sharp grip checkering. The box is very good with minor wear and some fading.
Mechanically excellent.

in 1955/56. Standard markings and features
including matching serial number on the barrel,
cylinder, and butt. This revolver is from the

Smith & Wesson .22/32 Kit Gun Pre-Model 43 Double Action Revolver with Box and Factory Letter Once Belonging to a U.S. Marine Colonel - Serial no. 15023, 22 LR cal., 3 1/2 inch solid
rib bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. The included factory letter confirms the current configuration when it was shipped to Evaluators Ltd. of Triangle, VA on April 2, 1956. Matching serial number
on the barrel, cylinder, and butt. Includes original box with name tag (detached) reading “COL G M CLOUD”. U.S. Marine Colonel Guy M. Cloud served as a combat pilot for 26 years and participated in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam. Also included is consignor provided copies of photographs and research. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 98% plus original blue finish with light handling evidence, cylinder drag line, and sharp grip checkering. The box is very good with fading and edge wear. Mechanically excellent.

Smith & Wesson .44 Hand Ejector 1st Model Triple Lock Target Model Double Action Revolver with Box - Serial no. 14174, 44 S&W special cal., 6 1/2 inch
round bbl., blue finish, walnut grips. Manufactured between 1907 and
1915. Standard markings with pinned front sight, adjustable rear sight,
and smooth trigger and grip straps. Matching serial number on the barrel, cylinder, and butt with “13174” marked on the right grip, likely a factory error. Includes a non-matching factory box for a later model.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 90% plus original blue finish with the
lose concentrated on the grip straps and at the muzzle. Overall light handling evidence, cylinder drag line, a few dings in the grip, and crisp grip checkering. The mismatched box is very good. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 4,500 - 6,500
