Engraved Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 Bolt Action Rifle in Desirable .338 Winchester Magnum with Scope - Serial no. 519272, 338 Win magnum cal., 25 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Receiver manufactured in 1961. Fitted with a beaded blade ramp front and flip up rear sights, standard barrel and receiver markings including the Winchester “WP” proof on the receiver and barrel at the breech. The straight tang receiver is factory mounted with a Leupold Vari-X III 2.5x8 scope. The bolt is numbered to the gun and has a late style safety. The floorplate and surrounding metal feature bear panel scene surrounded by floral scroll patterns. The pistol grip cap has been engraved to match with the initials “W/H/H” inscribed. Mounted on a checkered pistol grip Swiss cheekpiece style stock with solid decelerator recoil pad. Includes generic soft case. CONDITION: Excellent as engraved and upgraded. Retaining 99% plus professionally refinished blue finish with a few minor handling marks. The replacement stock is also excellent with limited handling marks and crisp checkering. Engraved Pre-64 Winchester Model 70 Featherweight Bolt Action Rifle with Scope - Serial no. 395502, 270 Win cal., 22 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Receiver manufactured in 1957. The barrel is fitted with a ramped beaded blade front sight and a flip up adjustable notch rear sight. Standard markings with the bottom metal and floor plate engraved with an elk scene and floral scroll patterns. The pistol grip cap is also engraved to match and is inscribed with the initials “W.B.H.” The top of the receiver is mounted with a Leupold Vari-X III 2.5-8x scope. Numbers matching bolt with Type III safety. Mounted in a highly figured walnut stock with Swiss cheekpiece and solid Decelerator recoil pad. Includes Hunter soft case and nylon sling. CONDITION: Excellent as engraved and upgraded, retaining 99% plus professionally refinished blue finish with minimal handling marks. The replacement stock is excellent with crisp checkering and limited handling marks. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 3,250 - 5,000
LOT 621 Winchester “Big 5” Model 70 Safari Classic Bolt Action Rifle in 458 Win Magnum - Serial no. G0034BF2, 458 Win Mag cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 2004. Features floral scroll engraving on the floorplate, and trigger guard with a gold inlaid elephant on the floorplate, gold inlaid geometric border on the scene and bottom metal with “SAFARI/CLASSIC” in gold. The bottom of the floorplate features a gold inlaid African continent and “Big 5”. The rifle also features a knurled bolt handle, engraved crossbolts, and jeweled bolt. Mounted in a checkered, nicely figured, pistol grip stock and black rubber recoil pad. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish with limited handling marks and crisp stock checkering. Mechanically excellent. marked “30-06” on the chamber and “Dakota 76” on the left handed action and has been fitted with scope mounts. Mounted in a checkered pistol grip stock with rosewood forend and Pachmayr recoil pad. Includes Zeiss Diavari-ZA 1.5- 6x42 scope and brown leather sling. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% original blue finish with limited handling marks. 74. This example has a beaded blade front sight and tang mounted peep sight. Features a 26 inch crowned full octagon. The caliber is marked on the barrel, and the standard Dakota Arms markings are on the left side of the action. The barrel
is drilled, tapped and mounted with blocks and scope mounts that are fully adjustable for windage and elevation and fitted with an MVA 6X
scope. Mounted on a beautifully figured smooth walnut forearm and straight grip stock with smooth blue steel buttplate. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish and case colors with limited handling marks. Mechanically excellent. Scope optics clear. Estimate: 2,500 - 3,500
LOT 624 Montana Rifle Co. Model 1999 Bolt Action American Standard Rifle with Scope - Serial no. C13-0698, 416 cal., 24 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Features a ramped gold bead blade front and single elevation adjustable standing notch rear express sight on the barrel marked “AVR” on the right of the chamber, and “416 Hoffman” on the left. The receiver features the standard markings and is mounted with a Leupold VX-6 1-6x24 scope on quick detach mounts. The action is fitted into a checkered pistol grip walnut stock with Swiss cheekpiece and Decelerator recoil pad. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% original blue finish with limited handling marks. The stock is fine with scattered dings and scratches, two stress cracks coming off the lower tang, and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Scope optics are slightly hazy.
