Unique Sea Monster Theme Percussion Cane Gun Marked “Lindner in Suhl” - NSN, 32 cal., 31 inch round bbl., hardwood stock. Percussion cane gun with handle finely relief carved as a sea monster with teeth made of horn and eyes made of pearl, sea plants below the monster’s mouth and a silver oval plaque marked “Lindner/in/Suhl”. A smoothbore steel barrel is housed inside of the bamboo shaft. Removable horn tipped brass ferrule that seconds as a cleaning rod. To load, unscrew the handle from the barrel, then remove the
    empty percussion cartridge, add a cap on the end, and load with powder, patch and ball. After replacing the cartridge and handle, the ring at the collar is pulled back to cock and a flip out trigger on the handle is used for firing.
CONDITION: Fine overall with some light age related wear, some small chips and repairs in the handle, and a crack on the horn tip of the ferrule. Mechanically functions fine.

British Lang Percussion Rifle Cane with Case
and Extra Barrel - NSN, 45 cal., 23 1/2 inch round bbl.. Lang percussion rifle cane with a metal shaft doubling as the barrel. To ready for fire, the barrel can be unscrewed from the top section, allowing access for percussion cap loading at the rear end. Removal of the brass ferrule allows access for loading from the muzzle with powder, patch, and ball. After screwing the barrel back on, pulling the T-shaped handle
away from the barrel section exposes the trigger and
cocking mechanism. A cocking key is inserted into
the top slot of the firing mechanism and pulled back
until it clicks, readying for fire. The handle serves as a buttstock and the barrel is equipped with a blade front and flip-up two-leaf rear sight. The body of the firing mechanism is marked “Patent,/J.LANG.7HAYMARKET,/LONDON./No 173.” Includes felt lined wood case with Joseph Lang London gun manufacturer label under the lid, extra smoothbore barrel, flask, ramming rod, mold, cap tin, and tools including the cocking key.
CONDITION: Fine with some light handling marks and chips on the exterior. Mechanically fine. The case is fine with exceptional original interior label.

Derringer Percussion Cane Rifle Conversion - NSN, 36 cal., 25 3/4 inch hexadecagon bbl., brown finish.
Deringer percussion pocket pistol period converted into a long barreled cane-rifle. Lock marked “DERINGER/
PHILADEL’A”. The handle/stock is a tree branch reworked around the mechanical parts. The steel ferrule at the muzzle is able to
be taken out prior to loading by twisting it to the left. The silver butt of the pistol contains a small compartment for caps. The consignor mentions this cane as being good when going to stand-around events such as horse races or polo matches. CONDITION: Good with some light patches of pitting on the barrel and breech. Stock is good with some scattered handling marks, a crack underneath, and a repair above the butt. Mechanically fair, the trigger does not properly reset without manual assistance.
