The stock is very fine and retains crisp carving and molding, glossy finish, a repaired chip at the toe, and light marks and scratches. Mechanically excellent. B) C. Niquet Flintlock Pistol - NSN, 63 cal., 10 1/4 inch part octagon bbl., bright/gold finish, walnut stock. See “A.” CONDITION: Extremely fine overall. The lock and barrel remain bright in the European tradition and exhibit only slight spots of discoloration including a small patch of dark pitting at the muzzle. The barrel tang screw, pommel screw, trigger, and trigger plate retain most of the vibrant original fire blue finish. The furniture retains nearly all of the bright gild finish and the various designs have crisp details. In general, the metal components display only light age and handling wear. The stock is fine and retains crisp carving, molding and glossy finish; and has light marks and scratches, minor loss at the forend tip, a small flake below the teat of the lock, and some scattered dings.
