with Factory Letter - Serial
no. 22827SA, 44 special cal., 5 1/2 inch round bbl., blue/
casehardened finish, hard rubber grips. The included factory letter
lists this revolver with 5 1/2 inch barrel in .44 caliber with blue finish
and stocks not listed when shipped to Firearms Unlimited in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on October 20, 1958. Includes custom hardwood case with plaque reading “Colt Single Action Army/Serial # 22827SA/Caliber 44 Special” in script font.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish and case colors with limited handling marks. Mechanically excellent. Case is very fine as custom made with some minor storage and handling marks.

finish and case colors with limited handling marks, light cylinder

Cased Consecutive Pair of Colt Second Generation Single Action Army Revolvers -A) Colt Single Action Army Revolver - Serial no. 9631SA, 45 LC cal., 7 1/2 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, hard rubber grips. The included factory letter lists these revolvers as having 7 1/2 inch barrels in .45 caliber with blue finish and stocks not listed when shipped to Wisler Western Arms, Inc. in San Francisco, California on January 25, 1957. The letter also remarks that the revolvers were shipped as a pair of consecutive numbers. Page 87 of “The Post War Colt Single Action Revolver: 1955- 1975” states this is one of only 235 consecutive pairs shipped. Includes a Colt double gun presentation case.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish and case colors with limited handling marks, faint traces of a cylinder drag line, and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent. Case is very good with storage and handling marks and high spot wear on the lining. B) Colt Single Action Army Revolver - Serial no. 9632SA, 45 LC cal., 7 1/2 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, hard rubber grips. See “A.”

Manufactured in 1956. Both revolvers have standard markings and features and are consecutively serialized. Includes Colt double gun case.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% original blue finish and 95% plus original case colors with a few minor handling marks. Grips are also excellent with an attractive coloration and some typical age lines on the bottom of each panel. Mechanically very good. Case is very good with storage and handling marks. B) Colt Single Action Army Revolver - Serial no. 4834SA, 45 LC cal., 5 1/2 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, smooth grips. See “A.”
CONDITION: Excellent. Retaining 99% original blue finish and 95% plus original case colors with a few minor handling marks and a faint cylinder drag line. Grips are fine with an attractive aged patina, small stress lines coming off the screw eyelet, and a small repair at the toe of the left grip. Mechanically excellent.
