Scarce Cased Buffalo Bill Historical Center Winchester Museum Factory Engraved
     and Gold and Silver Plated Colt Third Generation Single Action
Army Revolver - Serial no. 12BB, 44-40 WCF cal., 7 1/2 inch round bbl., silver/gold finish, original grips. This impressive factory engraved, silver and gold plated revolver was manufactured by the Colt Custom Shop as one of a limited run
of only 250. Features standard fixed blade and frame notch sights, one-line Hartford address on top of the barrel, and in place of the normal patent dates, the left side of the frame has been stamped “February 26,1846/January 10, 1917” the birth and death dates of famed wild west showman Buffalo Bill Cody. According to “The Post-War Colt Single-Action Revolver, 1976-1986”
by Wilkerson, the factory “C” level engraving was performed by A.A. White
Engravers. Features American scroll with contrasting punch dot backgrounds.
The left side of the barrel is inscribed “Buffalo Bill Historical Center/WINCHESTER MUSEUM/1 of 250” followed by a horse and rider scene. The left side of the recoil shield is engraved with a detailed bust of an American bison. Fitted with a brilliantly gold plated ejector rod and housing, cylinder pin, cylinder, trigger, and hammer. The grips are smooth with a scrimshawed image of Buffalo Bill and his “TE” cattle brand on the left panel and inset Colt Custom Shop medallions. Includes the original wood grain box, red leather presentation case, shipping sleeve, and papers.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% original finishes with some light handling marks. The grips are also excellent with a few very light handling marks, and a small hairline crack on the left front. Mechanically excellent. The case and box are very fine with a few light handling/storage marks.
Provenance: The Mac McCroskie Collection.
Union Industries Show in 2005. It also confirms the “Class ‘B’ standard level engraving including
the front sight” by John Adams Jr., that it included both walnut and the current eagle grips, and
was shipped to J & J Custom Firearms in Columbus, OH, on January 27, 2006. It comes with the original shipping sleeve and box.
CONDITION: Near new with light handling and storage marks including some subtle cylinder rotation marks. Mechanically excellent. The boxes are very good with minor storage wear.

Colt Cowboy Single Action Army Revolver with Box and Factory Letter - Serial no. TF01155, 45 Colt cal., 5 1/2 inch round
bbl., nickel/fire blue finish, plastic grips. The factory letter indicates this revolver was used as
a “Colt Show Gun” at the following twelve shows over the course of five years: NRA Show and Colt Collectors Association Show in 2001; the Antique Arms Show, National Association of Sporting Goods Wholesalers Show, NRA Show, Colt Collectors Association Show in 2002;
Shot Show, End of Trail Shoot, NRA Show, and Buffalo Bill Historical Center Shoot in 2003; Colt Collectors Association Show in 2004; and the AFL-CIO
