Rare Canadian Ross Model 1905-1910 Match Target Straight Pull Bolt Action Rifle - Serial no. 7674, 280 Ross cal., 30 inch round bbl., bright finish, walnut stock. Fitted with a block for attaching a target front sight and a bracket for a tang sight to the heel of the stock. The barrel, frame, and bolt are all polished bright. The receiver is marked “Ross Rifle Co. Quebec, Canada. 1905/PATENTED. Barrel marked at the chamber with British proofs and “.280 ROSS/PROVED 22 TONS/WEIGHT OF BARREL 22685 GRS/MADE IN CANADA”. Mounted in a walnut pistol grip stock with forend finger groove.
CONDITION: Very fine, with patches of light spotting. The stock is fine with handling marks, and some scattered dings. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 3,000 - 5,000
Unique Target Canadian Ross Model 1905 Straight Pull Bolt Action Rifle - Serial no. 3714, 303 cal., 30 1/2 inch round bbl., blue finish, hardwood stock. Fitted with a hooded blade front sight, enhanced with a dovetailed golden bead, and a pair of folding peep ladder rear sights. Both sights have on-board windage and elevation adjustments and are marked “PATENTED/GREAT BRITAIN/CANADA USA” on the staff. One is located in the conventional rear sight position with no markings on the base, the other is positioned towards the rear of the rear of the receiver on a bolted-on “U” shaped bridge marked to Canada Tool & Specialty, Ltd. The standard two-line marking is present on the frame, with British proofs and “.303/24 TONS/CANADIAN/PROOF” on the receiver ring. Smooth pistol grip stock, with “J.M:” cut into the left side, “BCDE” on the right, and a smooth metal buttplate. CONDITION: Very fine, with 70% of the original blue finish, showing areas of brown patina and mild handling marks. The stock is fine, with a number of scratches, dents and dark spots. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 2,000 - 3,000

Exceptional Canadian Ross M-1910 Straight Pull Rifle with Bayonet - Serial no. HG12235, 303 British cal., 30 1/2 inch round bbl., blue/ casehardened finish, walnut stock. Hooded blade front sight and receiver peep sight. Top of receiver ring marked “ROSS RIFLE CO./CANADA/M-1910/PATENTED” with Canadian proofmarks on the barrel and receiver. Smooth pistol grip stock and handguard with “CY181/H.G.” stamped on the right side of the buttstock. Includes Ross bayonet stamped with Canadian proofs and
“11/2/17” on the attaching iron and “96” on the right grip scale as well as a leather sling. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 85% plus original blue finish and fiery case colors with some scattered handling marks. Wood is very good with scattered dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent. Bayonet is very good with dings and scratches and some reshaping to the blade, likely from sharpening. Estimate: 1,800 - 2,750

stamped “11/2/17” on the attaching iron. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 75% plus original blue finish and case colors with scattered handling marks. The stock is fine with dings and scratches throughout. Mechanically excellent. Fitted with a hooded blade front sight, and a unique special target rear adjustable peep sight marked “Patented Great Britain Canada USA”. This rifle features the standard “Ross Rifle Co. Quebec, Canada. 1905/PATENTED” marking on the receiver. Smooth pistol grip stock CONDITION: Very fine. Retaining 85% period refinished blue finish with some light spotting and handling marks throughout. The stock is fine with dings and scratches with remnants of green paint near the rear barrel band.
