Scarce Lithgow/Poyer L1A1 Pre-Ban FAL Semi-Automatic Rifle with Scope -
Serial no. A43749, 7.62x51 Nato cal., 24 inch round bbl., black finish, wood stock. Manufactured in limited quantity during a brief window in the 1980s, only about 200 of these commercial import L1A1 rifles made it into the United States. Manufactured by the Lithgow Small Arms Factory, these commercial L1A1s use receivers configured to prevent installation of an auto sear and were imported by Joe Poyer’s Antique Arms
   of California. Post front and folding adjustable peep rear sights, with a long birdcage flash hider/ knife bayonet lug, hand-adjustable gas system, 2-position selector switch and smooth “coachwood” furniture. The top cover doubles as the mounting point for a Trilux L2A2 infantry optical sight, and the right side of the upper receiver bears the Poyer import mark and inventory number “AUS 21”. The trigger housing, bolt and bolt carrier bear the matching number “A43749”. A canvas sling and an extra magazine are included. CONDITION: Very fine but incomplete, with 95% of the original black finish, showing some edge wear and handling marks. The stock is fine, with some light
scratches and dings, and the optics are clear. Some parts, including the charging handle and locking shoulder are absent, and the barrel is not fully seated in the receiver. Estimate: 3,500 - 5,500

Excellent Fabrique Nationale Luxembourg Contract Model 1949 Semi-Automatic Sniper Rifle with Scope and Accessories - Serial no. 5584, 30-06 cal., 23 inch round bbl., black finish, walnut stock. Blade front and tangent rear sights, “AL” (Armee Luxembourg) mark on top of the chamber, and a “flaming bomb” proof and “0” on the left side ahead of the blued steel scope base. Matching numbers are present on the stock, receiver, cover, bolt, and bolt carrier. Fitted with a smooth pistol grip stock, with a brown leather sling and a steel trapdoor buttplate. Included with the rifle is a bayonet with sheath and frog, blued clamp-on grenade launcher with leather pouch, and an “A.B.L.-1951” marked scope with sun shade installed in an Echo-brand ring set. CONDITION: Excellent, with 97% original black finish, with some bright takedown lines at the rear of the receiver, some rubbing on the sides of the trigger guard and around the edge of the buttplate, and mild handling marks overall. The stock is in very fine condition, with some scuffing from contact with the dust cover and mild dings and scratches overall. The exterior finish of the scope remains 60% intact, slightly faded on the balance, and the optics remain crisp and clear. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 5,500 - 8,500

Excellent Fabrique Nationale Venezuelan Contract Model 1949 Semi-Automatic Rifle - Serial no. 1783, 7x57 mm cal., 23 inch round bbl., black finish, hardwood stock. Blade front and tangent rear sights, with the Venezuelan coat of arms on the chamber and matching numbers on the receiver, dust cover, bolt carrier and bolt. Fitted with a smooth pistol grip stock and a brown leather sling. CONDITION: Excellent, with 98% of the original black finish, showing some mild edge wear and handling marks overall. The stock shows some dry spots around the buttplate, but is otherwise excellent. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 1,600 - 2,500
