Nationale “G Series” FAL Semi-Automatic Rifle - Serial no.
G2689, 7.62x51 Nato cal., 19 inch round bbl., black finish, walnut stock, plastic grips. Manufactured
in Belgium and imported in the early 60s, the “G Series” FAL rifles had a complicated relationship with
the BATFE. Originally cleared for import as semi-automatic rifles, further review of the design led the ATF to
conclude that the item was too easy to convert to full-auto; the G-Series FALs were essentially the same firearm
as FN’s military contract battle rifles, with only some minor part swapping dividing the two. The rifles that had already cleared customs were given a pass, resulting in a limited number of “original” FN FALs available on the American market. This rifle’s serial number falls within a range (G2247-G2996) noted as Curio & Relic by the ATF. Post front and adjustable peep rear sights, long flash hider/bayonet lug, and an adjustable gas port with grenade setting. The upper receiver bears the one line Herstal address and “F.A.L. cal. .7.62”. Matching serial numbers are present on the upper receiver, lower receiver, bolt carrier and bolt. Original style “S/R/A” markings are present on the trigger group, with a proper two-position selector switch. Fitted with a green ventilated triangular forearm, plastic pistol grip, and a wood buttstock with steel buttplate. Includes a brown leather sling. Magazine absent.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 97% original black finish with limited handling marks and a safety drag line. Furniture set show some light handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
16 inch round bbl., black finish, synthetic stock. Manufactured in 1974. The HK 43 is the predecessor to the HK 93. It is equipped with a pinned on flash hider, checkered plastic forend, plastic pistol grip, and fixed buttstock. Magazine absent.
CONDITION: Very fine overall, retaining 95% original black finish overall with some minor handling marks. High visibility orange enamel has been applied to the front sight. Mechanically excellent.
Semi-Automatic Rifle - Serial no. 131709, 7.62x39 mm cal., 16 inch round bbl., phosphate finish, metal stock, plastic grips. Manufacture began in 1962. Fitted with ventilated ribbed handguard, ribbed pistol grip, and desirable tube steel stock with plastic cover (cleaning kit in butt). Milled receiver marked “VALMET/Made in Finland” on the left and “M62/S 7.62x39mm/Semi-Automatic-Rifle/INTERARMS/Alexandria, Virginia” on the right. Manufactured as a semi-automatic version of the Finnish M-62. Includes box hand numbered to the gun containing a leather sling, and two extra magazines.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original phosphate finish with a few minor handling marks and a safety drag line. The stock cover shows some dings and scuffs. Mechanically excellent. Box is fine with some storage and handling marks.
