    very rare semi-automatic commercial model of the Swiss Sturmgewehr 57 that remained in use until approximately 1980. These were imported for only a very short time in the early 1980s. Adjustable blade front and peep rear sight, both folding, with the “Swiss cross in shield” marking on top of the receiver, trigger housing, carry handle, matching numbers on the barrel shroud, receiver and stock, and 2-position selector switch. Integral muzzle break and bayonet lug. Fitted with a winter style flip down extended trigger. Vented metal handguard with folding bipod and ribbed rubber grip section, serrated pistol grip, and straight rubberized buttstock. Includes two extra magazines (1 standard, 1 configured for single shot bolt action operation), several pouches and tools, a cleaning kit, a bayonet, and an extremely scarce and unique magazine speed loader in original crate. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original black finish with limited handling marks and a slight oil slick coloration to the otherwise excellent buttstock. Mechanically excellent. mm Nato cal., 18 inch round bbl., phosphate finish,
synthetic stock. Imported in 1966 by Golden State Arms,
one of the first importers of the early HK G3 and HK41
rifles. Hooded post front and 4-position drum rear sights, standard markings and “4/66” date on the left side of the magazine well, trigger group marked “MADE IN GERMANY FOR/SANTA FE DIVISION/GOLDEN STATE ARMS CORPORATION/PASADENA-CALIFORNIA-U.S.A./CAL. 7,62 mm NATO”, later style “S/F” marked trigger group with welded tabs (to prevent the installation of an automatic trigger group) and functional flapper magazine release, ventilated and fluted handguard, textured pistol grip, and fixed buttstock with ribbed buttplate. Numbers match on receiver, trigger housing, buttstock, bolt, and bolt carrier. Magazine absent. CONDITION: Very fine overall, retaining 95% original phosphate finish with some handling marks and a circular selector drag line. Mechanically excellent.
