LOT 1047 Pre-World War II Winchester Model 61 Slide Action Octagon Barrel Rifle in .22 LR - Serial no. 4162, 22 LR cal., 24 inch octagon bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1933.The rifle is in the scarce .22 Long Rifle configuration with an octagon barrel, which Winchester offered from 1932-1946. Lyman 3W beaded blade front and Winchester Model 32B elevation adjustable rear sights, first style barrel inscription followed by the “.22 LONG R.” caliber designation, later style magazine tube without collar, Winchester “WP” proofs on the barrel and receiver at the breech, round top receiver, correct checkered hammer lock, matching numbers on the receiver and trigger guard assembly, and factory drilled and tapped upper tang with flip up peep sight. Round 11 groove slide handle and smooth pistol grip stock with checkered blue steel buttplate. CONDITION: Very fine with 95% professionally restored blue, light slide retraction marks, replacement magazine tube, minor handling marks, and mixed gray patina on the blued muzzle. The refinished wood is also very fine with some small scattered dings. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 3,000 - 5,000

Winchester Model 90 Slide Action Gallery Rifle with Shooting Gallery Tie Down - Serial no. 743117, 22 RF Short cal., 24 inch octagon bbl., blue/nickel finish, walnut stock. Manufactured in 1930. Beaded blade front and elevation adjustable rear notch sights, sixth style barrel inscription, Winchester “WP” proofs on the barrel and receiver at the breech, nickel plated receiver, trigger guard, and buttplate, Third Model receiver with exposed locking lugs, correct gallery style loading port, standard markings on the upper tang, and matching numbers on the lower tang and receiver. The front magazine ring is fitted with a small loop, spring gallery tie down, and steel chain. 12 groove slide handle and plain walnut straight grip stock with crescent buttplate. CONDITION: Very good. The barrel has 30% faded, thin blue with light proofmark, minor edge wear, and some spotting and dark patina. The receiver has 60% period re-plated nickel finish with visible pitting on the lower tang, edge wear, and light spotting throughout. The wood is also fine with scattered small dings and dents, dark coloration around the grip area, and edge wear and minor pitting on the buttplate. Mechanically excellent. Estimate: 1,400 - 2,250
