Framed Colorized Print of “Old Time Round-up North Montana 1901” by L.A. Huffman - This 10 x 18 3/4 inch print of cattle on the prairie in Montana is marked “Old Time Round-up North Montana 1901” in black on the bottom left and “©L.A. Huffman” in black on the lower right. There are five hand drawn cattle brands in the same black just above these markings. The frame measures 15 3/4 x 24 1/2 inches. The paper backing of the frame is marked “Robert Conway Print/from Miles City Saddlery”. Laton Alton Huffman (1854-1931) was among
the few photographers to capture ranching life in Montana in the late 19th century and enlarged many of his earlier photographs
later in his life.
CONDITION: Very fine with distinct image and very little wear. The glass in the frame is loose, the paper backing has some tears and the frame shows minor wear.
