Smith & Wesson .32 Safety Hammerless 3rd Model Double Action Revolver with Case - Serial no. 209535, 32 S&W cal., 3 inch solid rib bbl., blue finish, hard rubber grips. Manufactured from 1909 to 1937. Matching serial numbers on the butt, right grip panel, cylinder, barrel and barrel latch. Comes with a leather bound period retailer case containing a cartridge block holding 19 rounds and a J.B. Crook & Co. of New York label on the interior of the lid.
CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99%
original blue finish with minimal handling
evidence, most of the original case colors on the
trigger remaining, and crisp grip checkering. Mechanically excellent. The case is very good with minor wear throughout.

Collector’s Lot of Two Antique Engraved Smith & Wesson Safety Hammerless Double Action Revolvers with Factory Letters -A) Smith & Wesson .32 Safety Hammerless First Model Revolver with Case - Serial no. 59093, 32 S&W cal., 3 1/2 inch solid rib bbl., blue finish, smooth grips. The included factory letter lists this revolver with blue finish, 3 1/2 inch barrel, and
hard rubber grips when it was shipped
to Hartley & Graham of New York, NY,
on October 1, 1894. The letter further
states that the near full coverage floral
scroll engraving was likely carried out
by Hartley & Graham. Includes a leather
bound case and 14 cartridges in the cartridge block.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 85% retailer applied blue finish,
minor handling evidence, areas showing some spotting, and some
yellowing to the grips. The case is very good with some storage wear. Mechanically excellent.
B) Smith & Wesson .38 Safety Hammerless Revolver with Box and Pearl Grips - Serial no. 16760, 38 S&W cal., 3 1/4 inch solid rib bbl., nickel finish, pearl grips. Manufactured between 1887 and 1890. Near full coverage New York style floral scroll engraving. Matching serial number on the barrel, cylinder, and butt. Includes a non- matching correct model box.
CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 90% plus likely retailer applied nickel finish, minor handling evidence, areas of light spotting, and and a few minor marks in the grips. The box is very fine with light wear.
Mechanically excellent.

grips. Manufactured from 1902 to 1909. 75%
coverage New York style floral scroll engraving
likely applied by the retailer. Matching serial
number on the barrel, barrel latch, cylinder,
and butt. Includes correct model factory box
numbered to a different gun.
CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 95% plus
original nickel, light handling evidence,
some areas showing some flaking, and
some minor frosting. The box is very fine
with some minor wear. Mechanically
excellent. B) Inscribed Smith & Wesson
.38 safety Hammerless 4th Model
Revolver with Factory Letter - Serial
no. 156130, 38 S&W cal., 3 1/4 inch solid
rib bbl., nickel finish, pearl grips. The
included factory letter states that this
revolver was shipped from the factory
on July 9, 1902 the Marcus Hartley Co.
of New York. It further states that the
revolver was likely engraved while with
the retailer or when it was returned to
the factory as indicated by the “7-35”
return date and the star on the butt. The
underside of the barrel is inscribed “C. J.
O’NEILL/CHIEF OF POLICE/BAYONNE. N. J.”
Some biographical information on O’Neill is included.
CONDITION: Excellent as factory replated, retaining 98% nickel, minor handling evidence, and some areas showing light frosting. Mechanically excellent.

-A) Smith & Wesson Safety Hammerless 4th Model Revolver with Pearl Grips - Serial no. 199335, 38 S&W cal., 4 1/4 inch solid rib bbl., nickel finish, pearl grips. Manufactured between 1898 and 1907. 75% coverage Oscar Young factory floral scroll engraving on
a punchdot background. “858” (August, 1958) factory
return date under left grip.
CONDITION: Very fine as factory refinished, retaining
95% plus original nickel finish with some light frost,
light handling evidence, and a few minor marks in the
grips. Mechanically excellent.
B) Smith & Wesson Safety Hammerless 4th Model Revolver - Serial no. 107089, 38 S&W cal., 3 1/4 inch solid rib bbl., blue finish, smooth grips. Manufactured between 1890 and 1898. 75% coverage Oscar Young factory floral scroll engraving on a
punchdot background.
CONDITION: Very good, retaining 90% blue finish, mild handling evidence, some minor spotting, and a few age cracks to the grips. Mechanically excellent.
