LOT 467 Cased Winchester Model 101 Quail Special Over/Under Shotgun - Serial no. QS28-120E, 28 gauge, 25 1/2 inch bbl., blue/stainless finish, walnut stock. Blued Winchester proof steel barrels with dual white bead sights on the ventilated rib, 2 3/4 inch chambers, choke tube system (skeet/skeet installed), and a flourish of scroll engraving on the barrel on either side of the rib. Stainless receiver with standard Quail Special engraving, single gold washed trigger, and manual selective safety. Mounted on a nicely figured, checkered walnut forend and straight grip stock with fleur-de-lis stock flats, Deeley forend release, engraved fittings, and a Winchester recoil pad. Includes a Winchester takedown case, two extra chokes (modified and full), and a choke tool. Barrel and stock measurements (U/O): bores 9 inches from the breech, .552/.553 inches; minimum wall thickness .037/.035; drop at the comb 1 1/2 inches; drop at the heel 2 1/8 inches; length of pull 14 inches. Weight 6lbs. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 98% original blue finish with a few freckles on the barrels, some slight discoloration at the rear of the receiver and at the wood on the forend attaching iron, and crisp engraving. Stock is very fine with a few minor handling marks and crisp checkering overall. Mechanically excellent. Case is excellent as well with limited storage and handling marks. Estimate: 4,000 - 6,000
LOT 468 Winchester Grand European Over/Under Combination Gun with Scope - Serial no. SR001532, 12/30-06 gauge, 25 inch solid rib bbl., blue/stainless finish, walnut stock. Blued Winchester proof steel with gold bead front sight and open rear sight on the solid rib, a Leupold Vari-X III 1.5-5x scope, Winchoke system on the shotgun barrel (improved cylinder installed), a band of engraving at the breech, and ejector on the top barrel. Stainless receiver with standard Grand European engraving, single serrated trigger, and automatic selective safety. Mounted on a beautifully figured, checkered walnut forearm and pistol grip stock with Deeley forearm release, engraved fittings, a raised cheek piece, steel pistol grip cap, and ventilated recoil pad. Shotgun barrel and stock measurements: bore 9 inches from the breech .736 inches; minimum wall thickness .032 inches; length of pull 14 inches. Weight 9lbs. 5oz. (with scope). CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% plus original blue finish with limited handling marks and crisp engraving on the barrels and receiver. Stock and forearm are both also excellent with limited handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Scope is also excellent with clear optics and a crisp reticle. Manufactured in 2007. Single brass bead sight on a raised matted rib, ejectors, and choke tube system (modified and improved cylinder installed). Casehardened action with light floral scroll engraving, a gold washed quail on the left side, woodcock on the bottom, and pheasant on the right, single gold washed trigger, and selective tang safety. Checkered pistol grip stock with a solid rubber recoil pad. Includes a full choke tube, choke case, and original box. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 99% plus original blue finish and case colors with limited handling marks and a small dent in the left barrel. Stock and forearm are very fine with limited handling marks and crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Box is very good with storage and handling marks and a tear at one end. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 99% plus original blue finish and case colors with limited handling marks, crisp engraving, dark streaks at the muzzle, and a slight plum coloration on the chambers. Forearm is slightly loose but otherwise the stock and forearm are excellent with crisp checkering. Box is very fine with limited storage and handling marks. CU12-066, 12 gauge, 26 inch round bbl., blue/coin finish, walnut stock. Both shotguns manufactured in 2009. High visibility front sight with steel bead mid sight on ventilated rib barrels, choke tube system and 3 inch chambers. The coin receivers feature matching floral scroll engraving with gold wash and inlaid game scenes. Figured checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with wooden recoil plates. Included is a Benelli double gun case containing eight extra choke tubes, stock shims for both guns, pistol grip inscription inserts, and gun sleeves for each gun. 12 gauge stock measurements: drop at comb 1 7/8 inches; drop at heel 2 1/2 inches; length of pull 14 1/16 inches; weight 7 lbs. 2 oz. 20 gauge stock measurements: drop at comb 1 15/16 inches; drop at heel 2 1/2 inches; length of pull 14 1/16 inches; weight 6 lbs.
