    LOT 3475 Scarce Remington Model No. 4 Military Model Rolling Block Single Shot Rifle - Serial no. 5234, 22 short cal., 28 1/4 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Manufactured from 1913 to 1923. Blade front and adjustable folding rear sights and a bayonet lug on the barrel. “MILITARY MODEL” marked on the left of the action. Military “musket” style forend and handguard with straight grip stock with metal buttplate. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 95% original blue finish, 98% original case colors, and light handling evidence. The wood is
very fine with a few light dings and scratches and slightly undersized buttplate. Mechanically excellent.

 Scarce Remington Model 1867 Rolling Block Navy Cadet Pistol Action Single Shot Rifle - NSN, 50 CF cal., 28 inch round bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Manufactured off of surplus Model 1867 pistol actions, these rifles were designed for use by cadets. The rifle features a blade front sight, folding rear sight marked for 100, 300, and 500 yards, and blued steel forend tip and buttplate. The right side of the receiver is marked “P/F.C.W.” The rifle includes a steel button tip cleaning rod. CONDITION: Very fine overall, retaining 90% plus original blue finish, scattered light spotting and minor pitting, some wear near the muzzle, and some light marks in the wood. Mechanically excellent. Serial no. 8665, 32 RF cal., 26 1/4 inch octagon bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. German silver blade front and elevation adjustable rear sights, casehardened Schnabel tip forend, and straight grip stock with casehardened buttplate. Standard markings on the barrel and receiver. CONDITION: Fine, retaining 85% original barrel blue finish with abrasive marks visible on the left side, patterns of muted case colors on the frame with the balance an attractive silver patina, silver patina on the stock hardware with traces of case colors, scattered minor freckling, and light handling evidence. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 98% original blue and casehardened finishes, slight plum hue to the barrel, and light handling evidence. Mechanically excellent. B) Remington Model No. 4 Rifle - Serial no. 347817, 22 S L cal., 22 3/8 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Beaded blade front and adjustable rear sights, standard markings, and straight grip stock with steel buttplate. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 70% original blue finish with extensiver surface rust along the barrel, 95% original case colors, some areas of grease staining, and light handling evidence. Beaded blade front fixed rear sights, standard markings, and straight grip stock with steel buttplate. CONDITION: Very good, showing an even brown patina on the barrels, light spotting, faded case colors with visible traces in some protected areas, a small crack in the forend at the right, and scattered dings and scratches in the wood. Mechanically excellent. 3/8 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Beaded blade front and adjustable rear sights, standard markings, and straight grip stock with steel buttplate. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 97% original blue and vivid casehardened finishes, light spotting, minor handling evidence, and scattered light dings and scratches on the very fine wood.
