   LOT 3469 Remington Model No. 2 Rolling Block Single Shot Rifle - Serial no. 4404, 32-20 cal., 2 inch part octagon bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. German silver blade front and elevation adjustable rear sights, bands of engraving at the muzzle and barrel transition. The gun shows no markings besides those below the stock on the tangs. The fancy figured forend features a casehardened Schnabel tip and the straight grip stock shows a casehardened buttplate. It has been suggested that rifles such as this one were built for exhibition. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining 97% original blue finish with a slight brown coloration, 95% vivid original case colors with some silvering on the
trigger guard, and light handling evidence. The stock is very fine with a few light scratches. Mechanically excellent.

cal., 24 inch octagon bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Combination Beech front sight, elevation adjustable rear sight, tang mounted rear peep sight with disk, casehardened Schnabel tip and buttplate, and straight grip stock. Standard markings on the barrel and receiver. CONDITION: Excellent overall, retaining 98% original casehardened finish on the action, minor handling evidence, some areas of light spotting along the 95% blue finished barrel, and a few dings and scratches in the excellent wood. Blade front and adjustable folding rear sights and a bayonet lug on the barrel. “AMERICAN BOY SCOUT” marked on the left of the action. Military “musket” style handguard and straight grip stock with metal buttplate. One of only approximately 1,500 manufactured around 1913-1914. CONDITION: Very fine overall, retaining 80% plus original blue finish, 65% original case colors with some muting and silvering, scattered minor spotting, and slightly undersized buttplate on the otherwise fine wood. Lyman beaded blade front sight, two position folding leaf rear sight, and tang mounted Lyman rear peep sight. Standard markings on the barrel and receiver. Special order deluxe, multi-point checkered pistol grip stock with casehardened buttplate and Schnabel forend with ebony tip insert. CONDITION: Fine, retaining 75% faded original blue finish with some thinning, 50% original case colors with some silvering, light freckling on the metal surfaces, scattered light dings and scratches in the otherwise fine wood, and light handling evidence. Estimate: 1,200 - 1,700 LOT 3473 Collector’s Lot of Two Savage “Boy’s” Bolt Action Single Shot Rifles -A) Savage Model 1905 “Boy’s” Rifle - Serial no. 15332, 22 S L LR cal., 22 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Beaded blade front sight, Savage No. 21 adjustable rear sight, and standard markings. Straight grip stock with serpentine trigger guard/grip and casehardened Swiss buttplate. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 80% original blue finish on the barrel, brown patina on the trigger guard, extensive patches of spotting, and light handling evidence. 85% of the original casehardened finish remains on the Swiss buttplate. The wood is very fine with some light dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent. B) Savage Model 1904 Deluxe “Boy’s” Rifle with Inscribed Buttplate - Serial no. 18577, 22 S L LR cal., 18 inch round bbl., blue finish, checkered walnut stock. Blade front sight, combination peep/notch rear sight, and standard markings. Lightly figured, deluxe checkered straight grip stock with serpentine triggerguard/grip and blued steel buttplate factory inscribed “Savage Arms Co./Utica N.Y. U.S.A/Manufacturers/of/High Power/Repeating Rifles/And Ammunition”. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 80% original blue finish, some pitting around the ejection port, scattered light oxidation, and mild handling evidence. The wood is fine with a few dents and dings and some varnish loss. The buttplate retaing 40% original blue. The trigger has been lightened thus making the firing pin drop when the bolt is closed. Estimate: 1,000 - 1,500 LOT 3474 Collector’s Lot of Two Remington Model No. 4 Rolling Block Single Shot Takedown Rifles -A) Remington Model No. 4 Rifle - Serial no. J198680, 32 RF cal., 24 1/8 inch octagon bbl., blue finish, walnut stock. Beaded blade front and fixed rear sights, standard markings, and straight grip stock with steel buttplate. CONDITION: Good, retaining 95% reapplied blue finish which shows a brown patination, light handling evidence, a crack coming off the top tang, and a few light dings and scratches in the wood. Mechanically excellent. B) Remington Model No. 4 Rifle - Serial no. 342525, 25-10 RF cal., 22 3/8 inch round bbl., blue/casehardened finish, walnut stock. Beaded blade front and adjustable rear sights, standard markings, and straight grip stock with steel buttplate. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining 70% original blue finish turning a brownish hue, 80% case colors with some darkening, and light handling evidence.
