Checkered walnut inserts with no S&W medallions. Letter from Smith & Wesson indicates revolver was manufactured in 1923, shipped to Chicago, Illinois with a 6-1/2 barrel, nickel finish, and checkered walnut grips without medallions.

Manufactured from 1899-1902 on the 4 screw K frame. Half moon sight forged to barrel, frame notch rear sight. Without locking lug under the barrel. Checkered hammer and smooth trigger. 6 round fluted cylinder and checkered grips with S&W logo's.
