Manufactured in 1914. Equipped with fixed sights, checkered hammer and smooth trigger, six round fluted cylinder, and stag grips. Lanyard ring on bottom of frame. Standard two line address and patent date markings on top of the barrel and "NEW SERVICE 45 COLT" on the left side.

This is an excellent example of an unaltered prewar Colt Police Positive revolver. The pistols is marked on top of the barrel "COLT'S PT. FA. MFG CO. HARTFORDCT. U.S.A. over the Colt patent dates of AUG 5 1884, JULY 4 1905, OCT 5 1926" and the left side of the barrel is marked "COLT OFFICIAL POLICE 38" and the left side plate has the Colt Rampant Horse. The cylinder crane and frame are correctly matched and it has the brown plastic checkered target grips with thumbrest.

NB - EXCELLENT- near new condition 95% - 98%, used but little, no noticeable marring of wood or metal, bluing near perfect (some wear at muzzle or sharp edges can be expected).

Manufactured circa 1976. Equipped with a red ramp front sight and an adjustable white outlined rear sight, a casehardened target hammer, and target trigger, a six round fluted cylinder with shrouded ejector rod, and checkered grips with S&W medallions. It also has the pinned barrel and recessed cylinder.
