19th century French prints probably cut from a book, double matted with black backing over thick beveled cream liner. The image size on each is 5-1/4" by 8-3/8". The brushed aluminum frames are 10-1/2" by 13-5/8". In metal frames with faces measuring 13-1/2 x 10-1/2 inches. 1) "Garde Imperial", two officers, one on horseback, in different uniforms. 2) Same, two NCO's. 3) Same, one officer and one soldier standing. 4) Same, one Dutch grenadier and one private. 5) Sailor with flintlock pistol. All by different artists and engravers. Six 5-1/4 inch by 8-1/8 inch prints, probably taken from a book of different soldiers of the Garde Imperiale including: 6) Two lancers on horseback. 7) Corporal and Private of the engineers. 8) Horse grenadiers with officer on horseback and NCO on foot. 9) Grenadier on horseback and policeman on ground. 10) Grenadier corporal on guard at Elbe. 11) Foot Grenadier and Horse Grenadier of the consular service. All uniforms are different. Mounted in a brushed aluminum frame 26-1/2 inch by 24-3/4 inch with dark matting and leveled liners for each print. Fine to excellent with slight toning to two of the prints.
