Manufactured in 1904. Standard address and patent data on top of the barrel, "SPECIAL SMOKELESS STEEL" on the left side, "MODEL 1893" on the upper tang, "MARLIN SAFETY" on the top of the action. Equipped with Lyman globe front sight and Rocky Mountain buckhorn rear sight, full length magazine tube, and plain forearm with metal tip and straight grip buttstock with S- style metal buttplate. The round barrel is scarcer than the other available variations.

Poorly refinished with scattered sanding marks on barrel, blotchy bluing, and overall faint pitting. The wood is very good with scattered dings and dents and a small hole for a swivel stud.

Produced between 1908 and 1915, as indicated by the screw placement of the buttplate. The face of the bolt is cut for the reversible firing pin so it can be used for either rim or centerfire. German silver blade front sight and semi-buckhorn elevator rear sight. Standard markings, with the upper receiver tang and top of the receiver drilled and tapped for mounting. Smooth straight grip stock with steel forearm tip and S- shaped steel buttplate.

Fair condition with approximately 10% finish remaining mostly in protected places, with scattered dings and scratches. Most metal has turned a light brown patina. The wood is very good with scattered dings and scratches.
