The is a pre-Series 70 Colt Commercial M1911A1 Automatic Pistol that has been overhauled and set up for competition. The pistol has "Triangle"-marked bolt-on target sight rib with front blade, adjustable rear sight, and a wide, bolt-on serrated trigger shoe. The pistol has a checkered hammer, standard safety lever and slide release. The thumb-rest grips are checkered, highly figured burl walnut with flared base. The slide and frame sides have a high polish blue finish, with the remaining areas matte finished blue except for the barrel bushing which is in the white. The left side of the slide is marked with the two-line Colt military style patent dates and the right slide is marked "MODEL OF 1911. U.S. ARMY". An extra magazine is included.

Overall condition is excellent, with 95-97% + of professional refinish remaining. There are a few minor scattered dings and dents, and front slide shows moderate finish wear from rubbing on frame during cycling. Only slight edge wear on the muzzle and minor high point edge wear throughout. The grips are excellent, with very light wear on checkering and a few slight scratches. The action is tight and all markings remain sharp.
