Description:

The four foot long barrel is now covered with black paint and various other materials. The magnetic qualities at different points indicate that some of the restoration material is not iron and the flaking and rubbed spots might be body putty or some such material. The surfaces are somewhat irregular. The reproduction carriage is 32" long, 15 1/2" wide, and 17" high. The axles are 28" long and take have four wood wheels which are 10" in diameter. An article accompanying the cannon covers an amateur deep sea recovery group but does not show or mention the cannon.

Rating Definition:

Very good as restored. Should not be loaded or fired without proper safety evaluation. This includes blank loads, which can generate considerable pressure.
