Made after 1916 when the barrel marking was changed to "J. STEVENS ARMS COMPANY./CHICOPEE FALLS, MASS.U.S.A." on the left quarter flat of the barrel. The rear sight is adjustable for elevation only. The Lyman front sight has a copper head. The trigger guard is the late type made of a sheet metal stamping rather than a casting. The finish is all blue. 43,000 of them were made so this was made just before production stopped due to WWII. There is some widely scattered spotting

Rating Definition:

Excellent with 98% blue overall, worn slightly at the muzzle and high spots at the base of the grips. There is some widely scattered spotting. The grips retain almost all of their varnish. Mechanically excellent.
