OD - VERY GOOD- all original parts; none to 30% original finish; original metal surfaces smooth with all edges sharp; clear lettering, numerals and design on metal; wood slightly scratched or bruised.

Description:

Manufactured 1863 to 1873, this revolver features fixed pinched front and frame notched rear sights, brass trigger guard and smooth two piece walnut grips. The top barrel flat is marked with the Remington three line New Model marking, matching serial numbers on the barrel and frame and inspector's mark "P" on the cylinder and barrel and a "B" on the trigger guard.

Rating Definition:

Very good plus. The revolver retains strong original finish on the frame and barrel with the balance having a brown patina. There are a few minor dings and minor pitting on the frame. The trigger guard has an aged patina. The hammer spur is slightly bent at the tip. The grips are good with a light crude carving on the lower right panel, a small hole on the bottom and a small chip on the toe of the left panel as well as a number of minor dings on the bottoms. The action needs work, the cylinder does not always cycle when the hammer is cocked. The markings are crisp.
