The top of the receiver is marked "U.S.N." / Naval Anchor / "N23948 / A.C.D.". standard Remington Arms Company markings. Shortened barrel. Buckhorn pattern adjustable rear sight graduated from 100-525 yards and a Lyman style bead front sight. It has the standard full length Mannlicher stock that has "305" stamped on the top of the buttstock. Sling swivels are possibly replacements and the buttstock sling base is removed. Complete with original grooved magazine and cleaning rod.

About good as altered (barrel and forend shortened). The barrel retains traces of the original blue finish with all metal surfaces featuring a smooth brown tone with some traces of blue at the breech, some minor handling marks and slight muzzle wear. Receiver retains traces of blue finish with some minor edge wear. The stock is good with a couple of gouges, some minor pressure dents, some minor nicks, and some minor handling marks. Excellent action.
