Manufactured in 1981, this New Model Blackhawk is a limited edition of only 1,000. As well as standard markings, the BASS logo appears on the left side of the frame and the backstrap is etched "0516 / BASS LIMITED EDITION 1981". Complete in a cherry wood case with the BASS logo branded in the lid, satin and royal blue velvet lining. Also included is a yellow Ruger box with plain brown outer sleeve, cardboard box for the case and the shipping box.

Top strap marked "FRONTIER / DEFENDER", with floral motif embossed grips incorporating animal and female heads. Cylinder, spur trigger guard and most of the frame have been cleaned bright (remaining surfaces have nickel finish). Action needs work.
