The revolver was manufactured in 1862 and has a four-screw frame, cut-outs for the shoulder stock yokes in the recoil shield, and an iron back strap with a notch for the stock yoke in the butt. Although the frame has the four screws found on pistols fitted with attachable shoulder stocks, it lacks the special extended screws to engage the stock yokes fitted to revolvers issued with attachable stocks. Single letter Ordnance sub-inspection marks on various parts. All visible numbers match and there is a very faint cartouche on the left of the grip. The included stock is numbered "34126".
