Description:

1) French sword, 45 1/4" OAL, 39" straight double fuller blade with faded makers marks, brass guard and wire wrapped leather grip. Good as cleaned, mild spotting. 2) 1860 pattern light cavalry sword, 41" OAL, 35" double fuller blade with faded makers marks, numbers stamped on the guard, and a leather grip. Fair. 3) "W. H. HORSTMANN/& SONS/PHILADELPHIA" marked dress saber. Very fine overall, bright blade with some oxidation on the scabbard. 4) Musician style sword with scabbard. Etched "Bristol Train of Artillery", "THE/HENDERSON/AMES Co./KALAMAZOO/MICH", and "William Bradford". Rough and pitted at the ricasso, other with very good overall, minor corrosion and generally bright. Both previously listed as from the James A. Conte collection.
