This unusual holster has six dummy bullets in the cartridge loops and is very similar to the "Hip Pocket Holster for Medium Frame Revolvers" pictured and described on page 151 of "Packing Iron" by Richard C. Rattenbury and identified as manufactured c. 1890-1900 and similar to the G.W. Browne 1884 patent pocket holster. Will hold a Colt SAA Revolver. It is in fine condition with moderate rub wear and some small tears.
