Manufactured in 1862, this is an example of a Colt Model 1851 Navy revolver with a four screw frame and notch in the heel of the back strap for attaching the included canteen shoulder stock. All visible numbers on the revolver match including the wedge (renumbered), the partial number in the grip mortise, and "K" factory inspection marks on various parts. The canteen is pewter with a pewter screw on lid that has an attached brass chain anchored on the top right side of the wrist. The stock is a walnut replacement with brass mountings and the yoke and buttplate tang are numbered "80153", the yoke is also re-numbered "128144" (to nearly match the revolver) with a "K" inspection mark. The replacement stock has some scattered minor handling marks.
