DFC inspected frame manufactured 1880. Factory letter states revolver was originally shipped to U.S. Government inspector at Colt plant on March 27, 1880, returned to the factory for artillery rework and reshipped to the Commanding Officer, Manila, Philippine Islands on Nov. 26, 1901.
