Manufactured 1898. Floral carved grips. The included factory letter lists the revolver in .44-40 with a 7 1/2" barrel, blue finish, and rubber grips when shipped to Colt's San Francisco Agency on 4 April 1898. Also listed is a reship date of 25 January 1899 to Montgomery Ward & Co. in Chicago. The revolver was possibly converted to .22 RF at this time.
