Includes a factory letter (copy) for serial number 1255 (not marked on this revolver) indicating that "gun was part of Colt's archive collection and is sold in its existing condition for collectors' purposes only. This gun is not necessarily in serviceable condition. Consequently, it should never be loaded. It is important that this information be passed to anyone who may handle the gun and to its subsequent owners." This may be the case with this revolver as well though it appears mechanically excellent.
